Martha Byrne as Catherine Prescott
Character Bio:
After surviving a devastating divorce, Catherine started her journey as a single woman. When her ex-husband Jon Prescott missed one too many child support payments for their daughter, Ava, Catherine gained sole custody. Named the most successful sales executive for Nicole Miller in 2008, Catherine  settled into a successful life, personally and professionally. Everything changed for Catherine when she took a trip to the suburbs of New York in the fall of 2009. Richard Manning walked back into her life, and nothing will ever be the same.

Actor Bio: Martha Byrne is a two-time Daytime Emmy winning actress, producer and writer.  She is best known for her more than two decade run on the CBS Daytime Drama AS THE WORLD TURNS where she portrayed the role of Lily Walsh Snyder, and later her twin Rose D'Angelo.  Her award collection also includes numerous magazine awards and three National Viewer’s Voice Awards.  Martha began her career at the age of ten with a two year run on the Broadway stage as July in the world renowned show "Annie."  Martha’s resume also includes over 30 television and film projects.  Since leaving ATWT in March 2008, Martha has starred on GENERAL HOSPITAL, worked as a script writer on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, performed in a stage production of "Other People's Money," and was executive producer of the film, Bye Bye Sally, starring Malin Ackerman.




Anne Sayre as Tina Havens
Character Bio: Tina is 40 going on 25. She has never worked a day in her life and is perfectly content spending her parents fortune. Catherine is Tina's best friend, and is constantly trying to get Catherine to "chillax" and "take the panties off", disturbed by her BFF's early nights of solitude. Generous, kind, and always ready for anything, Tina could be her own worst enemy.

Actor Bio: Anne Sayre is most well-known for her recurring role as Mitzi Matters on the CBS daytime drama AS THE WORLD TURNS. She has played roles on other soaps including ANOTHER WORLD, ONE LIFE TO LIVE and ALL MY CHILDREN, and has made frequent appearances in comedy sketches on LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN. She also had a featured role in the Fox drama NEW YORK UNDERCOVER. Her movie credits include the role of Cassie Bumpus in MGM's feature film My Summer Story, the  sequel to A Christmas Story, directed by Bob Clark,  and the independent film Late Watch. Her stage credits include leading roles in regional productions of "How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,"  "Company," "The Diviners," and a national tour with the Royal Shakespeare Company.




Maggie Reed as Sheila Stevens
Character Bio:
Twice widowed, Sheila is on her third husband,  Charles whom she met when she was a “guest” at a Harvard Alum mixer at the Waldorf. Her relationship with Richard is a blurry one. A lot of business and a dash of pleasure, Sheila uses her power of money to control people, mostly men. It’s known in society circles that Charles is a philanderer and rarely spends time with Sheila. Sheila enjoys this arrangement; it gives her the freedom to be with whomever she wants. Richard Manning is always first on her list.

Actor Bio: Margaret Reed is known to soap opera fans as Shannon O'Hara McKechnie on AS THE WORLD TURNS.  Most recently, she completed a sold-out run in Manhattan of the one-woman play "Passing" and was cast in the indie film Silver Tongues.  Margaret has the recurring role of Felicia Chatham on LAW & ORDER: SVU along with roles on the other LAW & ORDER shows as well as SEINFELD, STAR TREK: TNG, SPIN CITY, THE YOUNG RIDER, EMPTY NEST, THE GOLDEN GIRLS, BLOSSOM, KNOTS LANDING, among others. Off-Broadway, she was Vivien Leigh in Austin Pendleton's "Orson's Shadow" and was named Best Featured Actress for "Dinner with Friends," also winning the DramaLogue Award for her performance in "Other People's Money."  More at maggiereed.com.




Maeve Kinkead as Dinah Cummings
Character Bio:
Dinah is dripping with cash, but her goal in life is to get the money out of everyone's else pockets. She runs a foundation that bares her name, which looks stunning on all the do-gooder plaques that grace her office on the Upper West Side.

Actor Bio: Maeve Kinkead originally planned to be a professor, attending Radcliffe College and becoming a teaching fellow in English literature at Harvard. She was in the middle of writing her thesis when she decided to break out of academia. After performing in several stage productions, Kinkead closed her books and packed her bags for London, where she studied theater at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In 1977, she landed the part of Angie Perrini on ANOTHER WORLD. Three years later, Kinkead snagged the role of GUIDING LIGHT's spoiled socialite, Vanessa Chamberlain. In 1992, Kinkead won the Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy and has earned four other Emmy nominations.




LaMont Craig as Jayqui Knowles
Character Bio: 
No relation to Beyonce, but he might tell you a different tale. Jayqui is Catherine's assistant at Nicole Miller and Tina's gay husband. Many in NYC have spotted Tina and Jayqui stumbling out of the hottest clubs at 4am.

Matt Crane as Perry Baxter

Actor Bio: Matt Crane is best known to television fans for his long-running role as Matt Cory on the NBC soap opera ANOTHER WORLD.  He has also appeared on ABC's GENERAL HOSPITAL.  He has also made appearances on TOUR OF DUTY and SEX AND THE CITY.  Crane was born in Kimberton, Pennsylvania and attended the University of Honolulu and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.  He is married to actress Robin Christopher.
Michael Park as Richard Manning
Character Bio: Richard was named "Crown Prince of Wall Street" by the Wall Street Journal in 2009. When the financial world was brought to its knees, Richard Manning seemed to be the only person who "saw it coming." With his JFK Jr. good looks and charm, Richard is a frequent juicy subject for the tabloids. His divorce from Veronica Manning has graced the cover of The New York Post more than once during their year-long struggle to part ways. Always putting business first, his personal life has been destroyed, possibly beyond repair.

Actor Bio: Michael Park has played Detective Jack Snyder on the CBS daytime drama AS THE WORLD TURNS since 1997.  He garnered a Daytime Emmy Award-nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in 2007. In 2001, he was nominated for both a Daytime Emmy as a Supporting Actor and a Soap Opera Digest Award.  Park made his Broadway debut in the original cast of "Smokey Joe's Cafe." After leaving the musical, Park appeared off-Broadway in "Violet." He appeared alongside Martin Short and Faith Prince in the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of "Little Me" and performed in City Center's Encores production of "Bloomer Girl" in March 2001.




Melanie Smith as  Claire Ryan
Character Bio:
Claire is Catherine’s full of advice, controlling, older sister . Claire and Catherine's  parents died in a car accident when Catherine was still in high school and Claire became the mother figure in her life. Claire grew up quickly and took over the family farm business after her parent's death and turned it into a successful landscape design company. Claire's life revolves around work and Catherine's business, anything to keep her out of her house and her loveless marriage.

Kurt McKinney as Liam Kelly
Character Bio:
Liam is Elizabeth Manning's partner in business and in the bedroom. He runs the accounting division of Manning and Associates which is one of the largest investment management
companies in the country. He started out in the mail room and
worked his way to a low level position, that was until he started a
romantic relationship with Elizabeth which gave him more power than he deserves.

Actor Bio: Kurt McKinney recently completed a run on the long-running CBS-TV soap GUIDING LIGHT as Matt Reardon.  He is also known to daytime audiences for his three-year stint as Ned Ashton on GENERAL HOSPITAL.  Recently, McKinney appeared alongside Mary Louise Parker and Peter Gallagher in the Hallmark Hall of Fame film, Cupid and Kate. Additional television credits include DAYS OF OUR LIVES, the lead role in the CBS movie-of-the-week Sworn to Vengeance with Robert Conrad and guest-starring appearances on AFT, ROOMIES, HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN and GIMME A BREAK.




Lisa Peluso as Veronica Manning
Character Bio:
Veronica is Richard's soon-to-be ex-wife. She has been his "soon-to-be" ex-wife for years. Nothing brings Veronica more joy than her weekly visits to her dermatologist, except for keeping Richard in the court system. The mother of Richard's two children, Rachel and Nicholas, Veronica was "done" being a parent when the children became teenagers. Richard and Veronica's fights through the years became fodder for many a tabloid, and since they've been separated their relationship has become even more volatile.

Actor Bio: Lisa Peluso's first big break came at the age of nine, when she starred in the Broadway production of "Gypsy" with Angela Lansbury. At age 12, she played Linda, the younger sister of John Travolta's Tony, in the classic Saturday Night Fever. She became most notably known in the soap world for a nine-year stint as teenager Wendy Wilkins on SEARCH FOR TOMORROW.  While playing Wendy, a sixteen-year old Peluso received her first on-screen kiss from Kevin Bacon.  She would later go on to play two characters on ONE LIFE TO LIVE, Ava on LOVING, and Lila on ANOTHER WORLd.  Lisa was featured on a 2002 episode of the TLC Network series A BABY STORY, chronicling her pregnancy and the birth of her second child, Parker. She and her husband, photographer Brad Guice, also have a daughter, Phoebe.




Paolo Seganti as Dominic Siliceo
Character Bio:
Dominic’s family got out of all Mob related activities ten years ago. His father Frederico turned the family import/export textile company in to a legit business.  Dominick has never known anything but “doing business the right way.” Richard and Dominic's business relationship has become strained due to recent personal and professional events. Dominic, being fed up with Richard's stalling, heads to NY to confront him.

Actor Bio: Milan-born Paolo Seganti made his American daytime television debut on AS THE WORLD TURNS in 1993.  By that time he had already completed a high-profile supporting role as Johnny Stompanato in the critically acclaimed film L.A. Confidential. His other film credits include Canera: The Walking Mountain, Signora, L'américain, Tea with Mussolini, Woody Allens' Everyone Says I Love You and Still Breathing. Most recently, Seganti starred in Bye Bye Sally.   As the middle child of five brothers growing up in Italy, Seganti first found the spotlight in a boxing ring, earning three Italian junior championships by the time he was 15. It was in the boxing ring that he was discovered by a fashion photographer. He went on to launch a career as a print and runway model

Actor Bio: Suzan Perry has appeared in such New York theater productions as "When We Were Married," "Music Man," "It Runs in the Family, "The Foreigner" and "Fiddler on the Roof."  She has also appeared on telvision in shows like LAW & ORDER: SVU and THE CHRIS ROCK SHOW.   Her film credits include The Dead Guy's Son, The Lucky Ones and Made for Each Other.




Lee Roy Reams (Director/Actor/Singer/Dancer)
Bio: Lee Roy Reams won critical acclaim as Roger DeBris on Broadway and the First National Co. of Mel Brooks' musical hit, "The Producers."  Columnist Liz Smith calls him "Broadway's Darling" and the New York Times hails him as "Broadway's song and dance man nonpareil" for his leading roles in David Merrick's legendary "42nd Street," Lumiere in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," Cornelius Hackl in "Hello Dolly!" and Henry Spofford in "Lorelei."   Other theater includes "Applause," "Oklahoma!" and "Sweet Charity."  Favorite television appearances include: JERRY HERMAN AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL, SHOWBOAT and THE TONIGHT SHOW.
Kin Shriner as Jon Prescott
Character Bio:
Jon is an unemployed day trader with lots of time
on his hands. He is Catherine's ex-husband and father of their only 
daughter Ava. Jon is a constant presence in Catherine's life. Young women and late nights are his hobbies, but he thinks the apartment he shared with Catherine and Ava during the marriage is still his home, much to Catherine's dismay.

Actor Bio: Kin Shriner has been both a dramatic and a comedic favorite of soap audiences for nearly 30 years. The son of late comedian Herb Shriner and the twin brother of comedian/director Wil, Kin first made a name for himself in daytime in 1977 when he joined GENERAL HOSPITAL as Scotty Baldwin.  Over the years his other soap roles have included TEXAS, RITUALS, AS THE WORLD TURNS and PORT CHARLES.  His film roles include Droid Gunner and The Skateboard Kid II.  He has also appeared in the television films Echo, The Crying Child and A Bucket of Blood.




Anna Stuart as Elizabeth Manning
Character Bio:
Richard's mother, Elizabeth, took over her husband’s role as president of Manning and Associates, a well respected investment firm in NYC, after his untimely death in 1990. With no investment background she learned the ways of Wall Street and became a dominant deal maker.  Wall Street respects and fears her knowledge and power.

Actor Bio: Anna Stuart has starred in several daytime dramas including ANOTHER WORLD, THE DOCTORS, GENERAL HOSPITAL and ALL MY CHILDREN.  She has guest starred in primetime series such as HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN and WHO'S THE BOSS?  Her best known soap role was Donna Love Hudson on ANOTHER WORLD, a character she later reprised on AS THE WORLD TURNS.




Jesscia Griffin as Ava Prescott
Character Bio:
Ava has a Midwestern energy even though she was born in New York City. She is an eager aspiring actress who takes as many acting, dancing and singing classes that she can cram in to one day. Since money is tight with Catherine and Jon, Ava works at the acting school answering phones to pay for her classes.  Besides her talent, her hair is her most prized possession.

Actor Bio: Jessica Griffin recently graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University where she received her B.F.A. in Acting. As part of her training, Jessica studied at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, England for a year where she performed in "Cymbeline," directed by Mike Alfreds. Jessica has appeared on GUIDING LIGHT, AS THE WORLD TURNS and will soon be performing Off-Broadway in "Jack and Jill in Christmas Town" in February 2010. Jessica was born and raised in Jersey and is also a registered yoga teacher with Cloud Nine Yoga (California).




Brianne Moncrief as Samantha

Actor Bio: Brianne Moncrief recently played Colby Chandler on ABC's ALL MY CHILDREN, during which the series earned an Emmy nomination for Best Daytime Drama Series.  Look for her next summer in the film, The Other Guys, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. Brianne's previous film and television credits include GUIDING LIGHT, THE SOPRANOS, and A Beautiful Lie
(MTV Movie Award- Best Filmmaker).  Stage credits include "Rose Colored Glass," "East Village Writer's Bloc," "The Audition" and "On the Pier." Brianne is a graduate of Fordham University, Lincoln Center and also studied at the London Dramatic Academy.



Caroline Byrne as Rachel Manning
Character Bio:
Rachel is Richard and Veronica's only daughter and the product of their highly dysfunctional marriage. Rachel would rather hang out at the Knitting Factory in NYC until all hours of the night than spend one minute with her mother. Rachel plays her father and his guilt to her advantage every opportunity that she can. No one knows how to play the game better than Rachel.

Lisa Brown (Director)
Bio:
Lisa Brown is a renown actress of television and theater, a director and an acting teacher and coach.  As an actress, her Broadway credits include the original company of "42ND Street" and "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas" and roles in "Pal Joey" and "Hello Dolly" with Pearl Bailey.  Her Off Broadway credits include the original company of "The Last Days Of The Dixie Girl Cafe."   She was part of the touring company of "Seesaw" with John Raitt and Liz Torres and regional credits include "Hit the Deck," "Godspeed" and "Opera House."  on television, Brown originated the iconic roles of Nola Reardon on GUIDING LIGHT and Iva Snyder on AS THE WORLD TURNS.  As a director, Lisa has worked on GUIDING LIGHT, AS THE WORLD TURNS and ONE LIFE TO LIVE.  She has also directed music videos and live events for the band Senses Fail.  She currently lives in Jersey City with her husband, Brian Neary, kids, cat and many dogs.  Lisa wishes to thank Max Gartenberg for the knowledge of how to act and direct.   GOTHAM is dedicated to the talent and memory of Douglas Marland. 



Alexandra Verner Roalsvig (Co-Creator)
Bio: Alexandra Verner Roalsvig is a Daytime Emmy winner and a member of the 2009 DGA award winning As The World Turns directing team where she worked for over seventeen years.  Alex has been a member of the Directors Guild of America for fourteen years and nominated for a DGA award four times.  Alex began her writing career partnering with Gotham director Lisa Brown, developing screenplays and pilots before teaming up with Gotham co-creator Martha Byrne.  Alex was also a member of the screenwriter’s workshop 5150 and has made several independent short films featuring the cast of As The World Turns.   Since leaving daytime television in 2009, Alex has taken the helm of promotion and marketing as Director of Tourism for Long Lake located in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York where she writes, snowmobiles and raises her family.
